Envision yourself at Barracuda

The Barracuda Marketing team is looking for an Event Specialist. Are you detail-oriented, with a bias toward action and a passion for process? Do you have a passion for bringing brands to life through events? The individual in this role is responsible for the coordination and management of Barracuda’s participation in a variety of industry events, as well as planning and executing events (virtual and in-person) across the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who excels at juggling multiple priorities, solving problems on the fly, and collaborating as a reliable and enthusiastic team player.

What you’ll be working on
  • Assist in managing our events calendar, budget and help project manage all associated plans and details related to our events.
  • Help identify and evaluate new opportunities for industry engagement through trade shows, conferences, community events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Assist in the coordination of our participation in tradeshows and other industry events, virtual and in-person company-hosted events.
  • Contribute creative and cost-effective recommendations to amplify our brand at events and drive meaningful engagement with key audiences.
  • Travel as needed and attend in-person events, supporting successful execution of events carried out by colleagues, ensuring pre-, during-, and post-event expectations are met and operations run smoothly.
  • Manage event operations end-to-end: booth selection, staff scheduling, shipment tracking, swag orders, and vendor coordination. The Events Specialist is the go-to person for all things tradeshow.
  • Coordinate all service orders, A/V orders, and display setups.
  • Coordinate shipping to and from events.
  • Work with our Brand Team to ensure messaging displayed at events aligns with brand-approved messaging.
  • Collaborate with Field Channel Marketing Team on To-Partner and Thru-Partner events to maximize impact of "live" engagements.
  • Provide monitoring and analysis on events performance with an eye toward continuous optimization.
  • Assist with logistical support of partner and customer hosted events.

What you bring to the role
  • 3+ years of B2B event planning experience (or equivalent demonstrated experience). Experience in the Channel is a nice to have.
  • Experience with virtual events, livestreams, webinars, simulive experiences, and other online event formats.
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to creating branded experiences, not just logistical support.
  • Proficiency with AI tools to enhance planning, content creation, data insights, and attendee engagement (examples: AI-assisted content drafting, data analysis, automation, etc.).
  • A bias toward action – comfortable juggling multiple priorities and tight timelines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Quick learner with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently while staying collaborative.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented problem-solver with a “can do” attitude.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional with team members, management, and clients.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, registration and webinar platforms (Zoom preferred).
  • Willingness to travel for in-person event support (approx. 10–25%).

What you’ll get from us

A team where you can voice your opinion, make an impact, and where you and your experience are valued. Internal mobility – there are many opportunities for cross training and the ability to define your next career step within Barracuda. We support employees who want to explore other areas of interest.

  • High-quality health benefits
  • Retirement Plan with employer match
  • Career-growth opportunities
  • Flexible Time Off and Paid Time Off benefits
